naomi said: “Just built the bed this weekend.
It took us a LONG time to do it (be careful that the triple bunk also comes with instructions for the double bunk, which we assembled first then had to backtrack) but it turned out well and the kids love them.
It seems sturdy and looks great. Very happy for the price of these bunks!”

Rachael said: “Sturdy and sound but not perfect. Need two people to build. Missing one screw, and some drilling was done because hardware would not line up.
Also, the instructions tell you to build each bed one by one ( ok if you have plenty of space, i sure did not) i did use plywood for the top and middle bunks and its stronger. I recommend but you will need to improvise like i did.
My boys love it”

Norma said: “We love it! Came shipped well, no damage. Took myself and husband about 3 hours to assemble. It feels sturdy and looks nice.
My only complaint would be that the slats are far apart and since we already had foam mattresses, I didnt want to purchase new coil ones.
My husband cut sanded plywood to place over the slats so the mattresses would have more support and that works fine to fix the slat problem. Huge space saver in the room for our daughters! For size reference, they’re 9,
6. and 5 years.
Everyone has plenty of room.
Our 9 year old can sit up on the top bunk without hitting her head on our standard height ceiling.”

Jaime said: “These beds are an answered prayer.
We were in the market for bunks but when our kids saw these they immediately begged to bunk together in one room. Never ever has this family slept so well.
The construction withstands our kids ages 6,5,4,3 and 1 climbing on them constantly. One person can easily assemble until it comes to the stacking part.
This mom is 100% happy with this purchase and will continue to recommend these.”

Very pleased with this purchase. No squeaking and it was easy enough for a few teenagers to put together.
I like that it’s not as tall as normal bunk beds, great for lower ceilings.
Glad there were so many good reviews, that’s what I base my decision on a lot of times.”

The bed came very quickly and with all the right contents. My
3. year olds just love this bunk bed.
It gives them so much extra room.
Very satisfied with this purchase.”

Daniela said: “let me start with a huge negative of this bed. The description clearly states it fits a twin mattress however I have there is a huge gap between the end of the mattress and the footboard. A big enough gap that I do not feel comfortable having my child sleep on it for the fact that he moves all over and flips which end of the bed he sleeps on in his sleep. I’m worried during his sleeping craziness he’ll push too far back and his head will fall into the gap.
There is also no way to add another slat to close the gap since the lip that the slats screw into does not extend all the way to the footboard and an XL twin would be too big. On a positive note, I put these beds together myself with no problem, they’re cute and very sturdy.
However, we will not be using them due to the massive gaps between mattresses.”

Courtney said: “Got this bunk bed in the color white. It was packaged well but did have a few dings here and there.
Took about 2 hrs to set up. It helps to lay everything out and group them by letters.
I wished the ladder steps were a little wider but I’m glad I chose this one.
I love how it’s easily detachable it is if we ever decide not to have bunks anymore.”

Anonymous said: “My husband and I have been looking at bunk beds for a while for our daughters in hopes to free up more space in their room.
Our biggest worry was that our youngest (very clumsy) daughter would fall up off the top bunk.
When I saw this one, I immediately knew that it was the one because of the height. We had it delivered and put up just a few days after I ordered it. It took my husband and dad about an hour or so to assemble. It is very sturdy and safe. It also looks very nice.
We love it and the girls love it! Great buy!”

Sydney said: “Did a lot of research on this bed before buying. A few things to clarify – this fits a twin mattress, not a twinXL; this was designed for a coil spring mattress, not a memory foam (because of the slat spacing); instructions say
6. mattress should be used.
Most reviews of a twin coil spring mattress will leave you thinking it’s a good “sometimes” bed (guest room or grandkids staying over), not an “every day” bed.
I wanted to make sure the mattress would be comfortable for my kids and would last a few years (current crib/toddler bed mattress was not in good shape after 2.5 yrs).
I was also set on this bed because my kids are 2 & 3 and wanted something low to the ground (3 yr old will take bottom bunk until 2yr old is ready to move in; top will be left empty for now), there aren’t a lot of options.
So I bought this bed and made additional slats (each bed comes with
9. made an additional
1. for each bunk) to accomodate a memory foam mattress.
Bought
6. Lucid mattresses (had lots of great reviews), but when it arrived, it looked fairly thin and probably wouldn’t last longer than 2 years. Returned those and bought
8. Sealy mattresses – visually it’s night and day, plus they’re very comfortable.
The only issue is that the top bunk will only have about 3.5″ between mattress top and railing …
plan to just put in a railing extender.
So overall, I like the bed, just need some modifications to make it a comfortable longer-term bed. Haven’t put in the ladder yet, will do that later when youngest is a bit older.
Side note, the mods will take some hands on work and cost about $60. Bought a few 1×6 because the depth will match the existing slat width ~0.8″.
Then rip the long edge to the same slat height 1.8″, you should be able to get 3 slats for that wood width. Countersink angled holes at the ends to match existing slats – I just used a small and large drill bit to do it, guestimated the angle.”

Bryan said: “I bought this bed for my children who are 6 and
3. This bed is NOT sturdy. It is made with real wood, but it wobbles too much.
The platform rails are Too SPACED APART the twin mattress i bought for the bed is a spring mattress and is too short for the Bed frame and falls through the gap Constantly. I Am TERRIFIED it will collapse so i just leave it separated. This is probably the 2nd worst purchase I made and it is a huge inconvenience.”

Yahya said: “I absolutely love this bed for my girls ages 2 and
8. Shipping was super fast and nothing was broken on arrival.
The assembly was challenging only because I mixed up a couple of pieces and had to unscrew and redo.
The instructions are pretty straight forward though. It did me awhile because I did most of it myself my husband had to leave and go to work and I didn’t want to put it on hold. Some of the screws got warped in the process and were hard to screw in but my husband came in handy there and when it was time to stack the beds you definitely need help there of course.
The only point I take off is because of how hard it was to screw in some of the screws.
We got it together though. And my girls love it.
Good purchase.”

I absolutely hated putting it together.
It took several hours to assemble this product, and some of the steps really required two to three people to hold the pieces in place (e.g., the top bunk railing) so that a fourth person could secure them all with the hardware.
Since there was only my husband and me assembling this piece, some of the railing was dropped multiple times during the process. We had constant anxiety about damaging the parts and rendering the entire product unsafe for our children before we could even put the whole product together.
Also, Please be aware that the instructions tell you (without any words whatsoever) to put only SOME of the slats in at first.
The rest of the slats should be added after some other steps are completed. Are all bunk bed assembly experiences like this? Other than that, I still have to say that this is a really good final product; it serves our household well. I won’t be purchasing any more bunk beds after this one unless someone else assembles it for me.”

Tatiana said: “I would not trust the product details stating that this bed supports 250 pounds with how few planks come with the bunk bed.
On first use, one of the planks broke and the weight on the second bunk wasn’t even close to 250! You could also see many of the planks bending under weight. We ended up buying several 1x3s to repair the broken plank and double the amount of supporting planks on the bunk as we were not going to risk having the top bunk break and fall onto our other child on the bottom bunk. Please consider doubling the planks sent with the product. It was lucky this happened on first use or we may not have caught it and risked injury to our children. Shoppers please be aware.”

Jo Ann said: “These beds were so easy to put together! Only thing I would suggest doing is attaching the plastic grey pieces to the slats while attaching the slats thlo the bed. Otherwise, youre stretching across the bed to get them on which was annoying.
My mattresses for the top bunk didnt arrive as yet, as shown in pics, nothing up top as yet. I didnt notice any squeaking while the kids tested the beds out. I would recommend this bed.”

Robyn said: “If you buy it your box will come open and with one of the pieces damaged! after a week of using it top and bottom, the screws start getting loose by themselves the more you sleep on the bed.
Its a beautiful bed but not secure”

Melanie said: “We purchased this bed for extra sleeping space in a bedroom in our beach house which frequently has visitors.
The primary reason we chose this bed is because it can accommodate 450 lbs which is adequate for two adults. Beware other bunk beds suggest a weight limit of 250 lbs for the bottom bed which limits the possibilities.
The bed is attractive (I purchased white) and sturdy It does take quite a bit of time to assemble and I cannot see how one person could do it alone. It is also helpful if you have a power screw drive or the time required will be even longer. My husband and I working together following the directions and sorting the multitude of parts accomplished the task and we are still talking to each other! The bottom line is that the bed is just what we needed, it is attractive and the price was excellent!”

I’ll make it short as to why.
See the imperfections of the wood & hardware on the pictures.
That’s because I did not include all of them. Also, the directions could have been better.
There good, but not great.
Now, after a FULL Day AND a half, it does look great. Pretty sturdy. Slats are pretty close together, which is a good thing.
I thought the little indentions on the rails were also imperfections so I put them facing in.
Turns out, they were there for the screws on another small piece for additional support.
No biggie, after using ruler & marker.
I decided not to mount the stairs with the board because I predict it can cause damage if I ever have to move the bed away from the wall. Outside of all that, it does look great after ALL that work & the kiddos love it. If I would have had a professional put it together I’m guessing I would have never seen any of those imperfections though.”

This bed is very beautiful and sturdy.
The drawers in the staircase is a huge plus and the drawers under the bed too.
My daughter really loves the bed and she walks up and down the stairs for fun.
I used a 8 memory mattress which I bought from mattress firm on memorial day sale(600 for 2 mattresses including tax, original price was almost 600 for one mattress).
I highly recommend this bunk bed, the quality is worth the price. My kids spend most time playing in their room just admiring thier new bed.”

Courtney said: “Could not be more happy with my purchase. After reading a ton of reviews I selected this bunk bed because it seemed to be sturdy, heavy duty material, wide steps and the ability to separate bunks eventually. I am so glad I listened to the reviews because they couldn’t be more accurate. It took my boyfriend and I 4.5 hours to put it together. Most definitely a 2 person job.
5 stars!”

Kimmie said: “So we recently bought a house, and currently we have 2 boys (2y & 5y) who really wanted to share a room. I spent probably close to 2 weeks researching bunk beds and reading endless reviews.
Our family really needed something that had storage for clothing or misc items, and books! (they have way too many), and that would separate into 2 beds for when they decide sharing a room is WAY overrated.
This bed has all that and then to top it off it comes with a roll out twin trundle for sleep overs! Overall so far the product has measured up to my expectations for the price. This isn’t the cheapest item nor the most expensive. When you add in all the extras this bed comes with you really cannot bet the end results. I can say that I did not personally put it together but we had eager best friends that wanted to help and it did take a significant amount of time for the two of them so be very very prepared for the longevity of assembly.”

My girls love it and are really excited. One problem is that the bed came with no instructions so we had to look them up on the internet. The other problem is that there are little dents and cracks throughout the frame. Ive attached pictures of some of them.
Id give the bed after being built a 4 but before being built a 2.”

Emily said: “As title states…Room to Improve. Regardless of the timeliness of delivery, the issues didn’t stop there.
Once it was finally delivered immediately upon opening my front door I knew I was to expect missing pieces and damage. The fact that they expect a single FedEx driver to handle this on their own is laughable, no fault to the poor FedEx driver.
It is absolutely a two person lift.
Anything else will result in a torn and battered package to say the least.
We needed a bed as it was already overdue and we were not about to wait for parts or a new delivery so I made due with what we had and cut a couple piece of lumber to replace the lost pieces. I hope Wayfair holds delivery services accountable to these(what should of been a loss).
We sent an email with our concerns and disappointment, however we never got a response so a review is due. Attached are just a few of the damaged pieces and the package of what it looked like at arrival.
Happy Shopping my fellow Wayfaiers!!”

Amy said: “At first I was a little skeptical about purchasing because of how many “bad” reviews it had but we took the chance and so happy we did! I built it myself (stay at home mom of 3 small kiddos) and thought the instructions were very easy to follow! I love all the small details like the corners are rounded not pointy, the stairs are removable Incase your little ones keep wanting to climb it and it’s very sturdy, 10/10 would recommend!”

Maria said: “Original review: The images are true to color.
The bed is made with a soft wood, which makes it more susceptible to scratches and dents but it is beautiful. It feels sturdy, like it will last a long time as long as you don’t have monkeys for children! Haha I’ve yet to put it completely together, because I need a drill.
Hand tightening the screws is not recommended.
It’s worth every penny.
The box is extremely heavy so definitely have someone help you.
I barely got it into the house. I took it upstairs in pieces. I love the fact I can use the beds separately when my son grows up.
Update: I have moved and took the bed with me.
It sustained deep scratches even though I had it professionally wrapped. The soft wood is not recommended for a bed if you need it to last.
I would not buy it again, nor do I recommend it. When trying to get the part stickers off the pieces with my finger nail I’ve scratched the wood.
Update: 6/16/20 we still have the bed. It has tons of scratches that easily show even if the paint remained. We’ve moved the bed into another room.
The bed wobbles even when the screws are tight.
The wood is cracking where the screws are tightened. The bottom bunk supports are non existent because they have broken off. They do not slide well across laminate or vinyl or carpet.
If they approve the warranty claim, I will get new ones and add furniture pads so it can slide easily”

Elizabeth said: “Good bunk bed for the price! I wish there was a little more space between the bottom mattress and top bed (makes my older daughter feel a little confined) but overall kids love it. While the bottom headroom might be a tight squeeze, the fact that it’s a full-size bed, and I upgraded it with nighttime ambiance lighting makes it the perfect nook for not only bedtime but, sleep, and drawing or book-reading fun! My 7yo sleeps on the top and moves around a lot on his sleep, making it a little scary feeling for the bottom sleeper but so far I have no reason I can’t sleep at night. The ladder does not change sides; it’s only a right side ladder but that wasn’t anything I couldn’t fix with a measuring tape and a drill! Check out my picture to see that I moved the ladder to the right side, as the best configuration for the small bedroom space! NOTICE: Assembly requires a lot of patience, attention, and time…
Took me 2 days to build but, the simple fact that I can separate this later to 2 individual beds that are well made and good material, make it all worth it to me.”

Honor said: “Just got these delivered the other day put together last night.
I am very upset they would sell beds with cracks in it and broken wood you can’t screw together. This bed comes in many many pieces and takes hours to put together and you can’t use it safely for your kids with all the cracks and broken wood that can’t be screwed together.
PURE GARBAGE WAYFAIR!! You should be ashamed of the workers laziness packaging up broken cracked product and shipping out to customers.
That I wont be again.”

Aimee said: “I absolutely love the bunkbeds.
They are extremely well built.
It came in seven different boxes with solid wood pieces. The directions were easy to understand and easily one person can put it together.
The only advice for improvement would be to NOT put a 3 x
6. warning sticker on the bunkbed. (The same warning could’ve easily been half the size.) I have already recommended this bed to two people. ”

Sindy said: “This bunk is beautiful and functional.
We bought the antique walnut, it is heavy and the quality is exceptional. We have the full over full, we were worried about headroom in bottom bunk, but there is plenty for an adult. We are going to purchase this in white for our Florida golf condo! Couldn’t be happier with our purchase.
Does need two strong adults to lift top bunk and place it!!!”

Anonymous said: “We live in a small 2 bedroom apartment and have three kids. So we needed a sturdy bunk bed with a trundle that wasn’t too bulky.
This was perfect. It is very sturdy and solid and it doesn’t take up tons of space.
I can lay on the top bunk with my daughter and feel comfortable. I also love that I can sit on the bottom bunk and not have to hunch down very much.
My kids can sit on the bottom bunk and not worry about hitting their head on the top bunk at all. The trundle is nice because I can pull it completely out from under the bed so there is room for my kids to get off the bunk bed without stepping in the kid who is on the trundle.
My husband and I were able to assemble it in about 2 hours. It sounds like a long time, but it really wasn’t too bad. One of the headboards came to us damaged and they sent us a replacement part immediately without charge.
I was very happy with the customer service. My husband was worried that the ladder would be too steep and dangerous for the kids to climb on.
And the first few times they went up the ladder they were a little nervous (and so were we watching them)… but after a day or two of getting used to it even our 2 year old climbs up and down without hesitation. We had wanted a bunk bed with a stair case, but those take up so much room (that we didn’t have). In the end I’m still glad we got this bunk bed and am very happy with it. I love the white finish.
It looks very clean and lightens up their small bedroom.”

MARY said: “We ordered 2 of these bunks.
My 15yr old daughter and I were able to assemble the 1st bunk in about 2 hours. The directions were straight forward. All of the pieces were easily found.
The hardware and Allen wrench had spares so two people could easily work together.
The only extra tool we needed was a plus screw driver! On the second bunk it only took about 1 12hrs since we knew what we were tackling.”

Im officially done with wayfair after having nothing but bad experiences.

So far, neither child has had any problems and they love their bunks! Putting the beds together was a breeze as well. When we move, we will just break it down into 5 large pieces and take it out that way – no need to completely disassemble.
I bought mattresses from Wayfair as well to go with the beds.

Wendy said: “We purchased the twin over full. This bed is super cute and my 3.5 year old absolutely loves it! It seems very durable and sturdy. All the pieces seem heavy weightduty.
I am 7 months pregnant and I was able to put it together by myself in 2.5 hours (because I was too impatient to wait for my husband to get off work to help me). He did have to help me lift the twin bed on top of the full. The directions are very clear and easy to follow.
My only complaint, and why I give it 4 stars instead of
5. is that it took 2 months to get here! This was during all the COVID stuff so I am trying to be understanding because of that and hopefully you don’t normally have to wait that long.
It was worth it though as this was the only twin over full I found online that I liked. I love the storage drawers underneath.”

Sarah said: “Looked through so many bunk bed reviews before landing on this set! It looks awesome, took my husband about 2 hours to put together, and the size is great.
Support system for mattresses is better than some of the lower cost options.
Worth spending a little more for all this set offers.
Average adult can comfortably sit in the bottom bunk, which is great for reading/bedtime. Highly recommend!”

Diana said: “Just Beautiful.
I added a curtain for a cute look.
Not hard to do. One of our top bunk headboards came cracked but that happened during delivery.
It was very easy to make a replacement order.
Only thing, it took another 2 weeks to deliver, but it’s ok bc it all worked out.
I used a 10inch mattress on the bottom and I can sit in the bottom with some headspace (I am short 5foot). A lot of headroom on top.
My daughter can sit up with also some headroom (we have 8ft ceiling).
Seems sturdy.
My husband (180lbs) shook it while on the ladder.
Good purchase.”

They are beautiful and sturdy. They came in 7 boxes quickly, the instructions were clear, extra hardware was included and it came with a USB port (we didn’t notice that anywhere in the description but it was a nice bonus!).
Many parts came pre assembled like the head foot boards, rails, and ladder.”

I like the sleek modern look.
Set-up was pretty easy. Took me about an hour to put it together.
Thanks Wayfair!”

Joy said: “These were a perfect addition to our mountain bunk room. We had fun building them as a family and took the advice from previous reviews to read all directions first, making sure we had all the parts and removed manufacturing labels with goo gone before assembly.
The space between beds is awesome. They seem very sturdy.
I am giving a 4 star for the ladders.
Very uncomfortable as other reviews have shared and the space at the top of the ladder could be a be larger as we are using as a guest bunk room for adults and kids. We ordered
9. memory foam mattresses for all 4 beds shown and they are very comfortable and work great.”

Ashley said: “I asked my kids since they sleep (who am I kidding they live on them). I asked why 4 stars not 5 and they said it’s squeaky especially if your top sleep is a wiggle worm and the ladder is small round poles that hurts their feet. They said they wished they were flat.
Things they love- the fact it can me two bed is awesome! They layout of the bed makes it easy to decorate and they said they like it’s simple and not detailed I don’t know what that means but that’s a plus apparently.”

Rhonda said: “This bunk bed set is excellent, so far. Very well made and sturdy.
I needed bunk beds for two teen boys and needed the bunks to hold the weight.
They hold 250 lb on each bed. It did take my husband and I 4 hours to put it together, but it wasn’t complicated or hard at any point.
The only thing I would do differently is to pay attention as to where the manufacture and warning labels are positioned.
They are not easily removed. I think it is in step 7 before they make note as to where they should be and that is too late unless you want to undo. No big deal I left mine where I had them – unfortunately both at the head of the bed – if I had a redo I would put them both at the foot of the bed. It would just look better, it doesn’t change the function.”

Just a forewarning for everyone do not tighten anything permanently until the end.
Many of the metal pieces didn’t line up so kept everything loose and when I tightened at the end it all came together.
Careful when assembling the drawer hinges make sure you measure properly so swing door doesn’t hot bottom or the sides of vertical bars.
Other than large amounts of patience reading each steps it was super simple to put it all together. Once I was done daughter tried it out and loves it.”

I personally love how the bottom bunk is close to the floor so we don’t have to worry about my 2 yr old falling off the bed. The top bunk is also not very high which is great because it doesn’t darken the room.
The color is a nice change from your typical white (which I initially thought of purchasing).
The stairs are super cute and a great alternative to the traditional ladder. Highly recommend! I’ve had so many people ask me about this bed!”

Best Twin Over Full Bunk Beds with Stairs in 2019

What Are Standard Bed Blanket Sizes?

The dimensions of the blankets correspond to the dimensions of the mattresses, ranging from the smallest to the largest: twin, extra long, full twin, queen, king and king of California. However, actual measurements and product offerings vary widely from manufacturer to manufacturer, so there are no firm standards. Instead, the sizes of the blankets follow general trends – with a few exceptions and variations.

The most commonly offered blanket and mattress sizes are:

Double blanket, approximately 66 inches wide by 90 inches long; fits over the double mattress, 39 inches wide by 75 inches long.

Twin XL blanket, approximately 66 inches wide by 95 inches long; fits on an XL size double mattress, 39 inches wide by 80 inches long.

Abingd Solid Wood Twin over Full L-Shape Bunk Beds with ShelvesFull-size blanket, approximately 80 inches wide by 90 inches long; fits over the full size mattress, 54 inches wide by 75 inches long.

Queen size blanket, approximately 90 inches wide by 100 inches long; fits over queen mattress, 60 inches wide by 80 inches long.

King-size blanket, approximately 108 inches wide by 100 inches long; fits over the king-size mattress, 76 inches wide by 80 inches long.

California king-size blanket, approximately 104 inches wide by 108 inches long; fits California king-size mattress, 72 inches wide by 84 inches long.

Not all manufacturers offer all sizes of blankets, and a specific product’s measurements may vary. For example, some blankets are labeled double / queen size and measure 90 inches wide by 90 inches long to fit a double or queen size bed. Extra deep mattresses are another variation that may require a larger blanket size to fit well. Measuring your mattress and comparing it to the manufacturer’s information is the surest way to determine if a blanket is suitable for your bed.

Measure the width and length of the top of the mattress; then measure the side drop from top to bottom of the mattress. To allow for a side curtain and fold at the foot of the bed, double the drop measurement and add it to the length and width of the mattress. This provides the minimum size that you should look for when comparing your results to product information.
